Terms of Service & Pilgrimage Guidelines
Transparency, devotional dignity, and mutual respect form the bedrock of Divine Darshan. Please review the terms governing our cultural guides, pilgrimage assistance, and handcrafted idol orders.
1. Ethical Pilgrimage Policy & Non-VIP Protocol
Divine Darshan is an independent cultural education, artisan promotion, and spiritual facilitation platform. We do not sell, facilitate, or promote commercial "Special Darshan", unauthorized priority passes, or paid queue jumping. In the sacred eyes of Shree Jagannath Mahaprabhu and the regulations of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), all devotees are equal.
Our services encompass local transit coordination, verified hotel bookings, experienced Odia cultural guides, temple orientation outside the Lion Gate, and Anandabazar Mahaprasad orientation.
2. Shree Jagannath Temple Rules & Dress Code
Devotees entering the Srimandir premises must strictly abide by SJTA regulations:
- Modest traditional Indian attire (dhoti/kurta for men, saree/salwar for women) is strongly recommended.
- Mobile phones, cameras, smartwatches, leather belts/purses, and electronic recording devices are strictly prohibited within the temple perimeter.
- All security checks and queue guidelines established by Puri district authorities must be respected without exception.
3. Third-Party Partner Tour Redirection
Certain transport circuits and excursion packages (such as Konark and Chilika Lake tours) are operated in collaboration with authorized state tourism agencies (including OTDC) or licensed local fleet partners. Bookings completed on external partner platforms are governed by the respective partner's booking and cancellation terms.
4. Consecrated Neem Wood Idols & Shipping
All holy deities in our idol gallery are hand-sculpted by traditional Puri Chitrakaras and Maharanas from seasoned neem wood (Daru Brahma tradition).
- Because each sacred murti is hand-carved and hand-painted, natural variations in wood grain, brushwork, and natural pigment shades are hallmarks of authentic handicraft.
- Idols are dispatched in reinforced wooden crates with transit insurance to prevent any damage.
- Sacred Nirmalya and blessed Akshata from Srimandir are offered respectfully as complimentary sacred tokens.
5. Cancellation, Postponement & Refunds
We understand that family emergencies and health concerns arise. Pilgrimage dates can be rescheduled with at least 5 business days' notice subject to hotel partner policies. For custom idol orders, cancellations are honored prior to artisan carving commencement.
6. Contact & Grievance Redressal
